FIELD: drying loose materials. SUBSTANCE: drier includes chamber with loading and unloading ducts, lift pipe mounted inside chamber; pipe is perforated and its perforations are partially closed with baffle plates. Mounted in bottom of drying chamber coaxially relative to lift pipe is nozzle. This nozzle is mounted at clearance which may be regulated. Drying chamber is filled with loose material fed through loading duct in dense layer. Drying chamber may be provided with group of lift pipes. According to one version, drying chambers of drier may be arranged in tiers; in this case, they are interconnected by means of bypass ducts and intermediate nozzles. Drying agent is fed to lift pipe through nozzle entrapping the loose material admitted from drying chamber into clearance. Material from lift pipe is discharged into settling chamber, then falls out into drying chamber and is again recirculated. Dried material is delivered through loading duct. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
