PROCESS OF TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY OF SURFACE AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: underground survey and geodesy. SUBSTANCE: for acquirement of precise and detailed topographic plan right on terrain without intermediate processing of results there are conducted reconnaissance and bridging of survey network, set of stations is executed by stereoscopic matching of measurement mark with image of earth surface and drawing of relief is carried out by stereoscopic movement of mark over image of earth surface. Device for realization of process has binocular optical system 5 with end reflections 6, 7 mobile in polar spatial system of coordinates. Projecting rule 12 is positioned in parallel to right sighting beam and reduces measured inclined distance to horizon that is laid off on horizontal rule 8 and on survey plotting board 1 with the aid of pencil unit 10. Value equal to elevation per measured point is fixed on height scale. Stereoscopic measurement of distance is executed as result of turn of left end reflector 7 with the aid of range finding projecting rule 14 which turns by means of movement of pencil unit through system of levers 25, 16.
