GEAR FOR TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: geodesy, mine surveying. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear can find use in mapping of mine workings, underground cavities, in planning of horizontal and inclined sites, in cadaster mapping. It has binocular optical system with measurement marks and two end reflectors installed stationary. Range rule carries compensation lens made fast to it to turn second sighting ray. Working surface of range rule is curvilinear. Its curvature depends on scale of survey. Range rule is pressed with its working surface against vertical rule located on pencil carriage that has height counter. Height counter presses projection rule made fast to binocular optical system. Given gear makes it possible to draw precise and detailed topographic plan right on locality without intermediate calculations and interpolation of horizontals, to update topographic plans.
