APPARATUS FOR MAKING WIRE GAUGE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: melioration, industrial and civil building. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes units for feeding wire, forming cells of fed wire, introducing wire to grooves of gear wheels, twisting them, removing twisted wire out of said grooves, drawing ready gauge. Apparatus is also provided with carriage having leading beam with straight teeth and cylindrical rods placed between said teeth; upper and lower tie rods arranged between two rows of gear wheels and joined by plate with trapezoidal windows, rear beam with vertical pins and spring compensators. Apparatus allows to prevent wire tearing at twisting it, shear of wire, breakage of twisting pins, gauge jamming on twisting pins at removing it due to enhanced design of units for introducing wire to grooves of gear wheels, removing twisted wire, due to compensation storage of wire and elimination of elastic deformation of twisted wire. EFFECT: improved design of apparatus, enhanced reliability of wire gauge. 2 cl, 5 dwg
