APPARATUS FOR MAKING WIRE GAUZE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: processes for making gauze used in hydraulic engineering industry, in road and guard building. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes frame, twisting unit, pulling drum and power drive in the form of toothed rack moving with temporary standing in terminal points. Twisting unit includes row of shafts rigidly joined with wheels mounted on shafts by two steps and having recesses in the form of doubled segments. In said segments carriages are placed for drawing wire from coils and bobbins through openings and for engaging with power drive through gear wheels having pawls. Together with feed motion provided from pulling drum by two strokes said carriages form double-twisting wire gauze with hexahedral cells. EFFECT: improved design, enhanced quality of gauze. 2 dwg
