FIELD: tools for high-speed cutting of hard and brittle materials. SUBSTANCE: abrasive tool has diamond-containing layer which consists of central section and side sections. Wear resistance of side sections is higher than that of central section. In this case height (thickness) of central section equals 0.10-0.35 of the full height (thickness) of diamond-containing layer which may consist of alternating n low-wear resistant sections and (n+1) high-resistant to wear sections, where n is whole number not equal 1.
