FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cutting abrasive tool has metallic housing and Z-shaped abrasive, preferably diamond containing, layer. The housing consists of two interconnected disks provided with slots between segments and periphery projecting steps. The abrasive layer consists of two sets of segments each of which is secured to the periphery projecting steps of respective disk in front of the slots of the other disk. The method of manufacturing the cutting abrasive wheel comprises assembling the wheel of two same parts. Each part is made up as a metallic disk provided with a solid ring abrasive, preferably diamond, layer on its surface. One of the end faces of the layer is flush-mounted with the inner end face of the disk. The other end face overhangs. After that the abrasive layer and disk is provided with slots forming segments. The disks with abrasive layer are interconnected over the inner end face smooth surfaces, the disks being shifted with respect to each other in tangent direction. The segments of one part are to be opposite the slots between segments in the other part thus forming Z-shaped abrasive layer on the end face. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 5 dwg
