FIELD: peat processing industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to producing granulated peat in field conditions. According to method, peat deposit is preliminarily drained, peat mass is excavated from deposit with simultaneous disintegration to particle size from 1 to 10 mm. Then carried out are granulation, drying, and collection of granules in storing units. Preliminary drying of peat deposit is effected to moisture content of 80-82%. Excavation of peat is performed by milling of peat deposit to depth of 300-500 mm with subsequent granulation of peat for size of granules to be equal to 25-40 mm.
