FIELD: production of active materials used as catalysts or gas absorbers in welding, vacuum technology, electronics, ecology. SUBSTANCE: process of preparation of active material, for instance, gas absorber consists in preliminary pouring of granules ( particles ) of carrier with solution of sodium carbonate and in injection of solution of salt of one of metals of platinum group into obtained suspension after these granules were treated with it. Later ethyl alcohol is added. EFFECT: enhanced service life of active material thanks to improved adhesion of deposited material of platinum group and granules ( particles ) of carrier. 1 cl, 4 tbl
