FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: electroencephalogram is taken before and after presentation of stinulus. Then mathematical processing is performed. Power spectrum of electroencephalogram or synchronism coefficient of electrical processes is calculated at every point of electron location relative to neighboring electrodes. Variation of values obtained after stimulus is determined, and calculation results are presented in the form of topographic map. In addition, temperature is measured at points of electrode location, its algebraic difference is calculated and entered into map. Device intended for method realization has measuring and transmitting unit with temperature-to-electric signal transducers and corresponding number of secondary amplifiers the outputs of which are connected to second outputs of switch.
