METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING BIOENERGETIC THERAPY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2194543 C2

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves diagnosing patient organism state and discovering pathologic signs by their deviations from reference level and applying therapy by exposing patients to correcting fields under permanent control of patient state in exerting treatment. Patient organism state is diagnosed by studying electric activity of the brain on the basis of electroencephalogram analysis. The treatment is carried out by applying focused local physical fields inherent in therapy application place at the moment of its realization. Initial patient state is diagnosed first of all and pathologies are found on the basis of deviation from reference level of values describing functional state of the patient brain. Then, directed action is applied to an area of the brain by means of reflecting and focusing screen. Action parameters are optimized by varying screen position and its spatial orientation in keeping head position in the screen focus area and continuously controlling influence of screen position changes upon intensity of brain response to dynamic change of value deviations from the reference level of parameters describing functional state of the patient brain. The screen is fixed in the position causing optimum influence. The treatment is continued until the mentioned values changes towards normalization are observed. The device has electroencephalograph unit for reading brain biopotentials and the movable reflecting and focusing screen. The electrodes for taking potentials are placed in the screen focus zone. The screen is optionally rotatable with respect to its base in horizontal and vertical plane or linearly movable relative to its base in horizontal and vertical directions. Electroencephalograph unit with electrodes for taking potential readings optionally has autonomous power supply source and data presentation unit and data reading and processing unit connected in series. Electrodes outputs are connected via amplifiers to input of data presentation unit which output is connected to data reading and processing unit input via optic fiber communication line. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment of a number of diseases like diencephalic disorders, functional disorders and aftercare treatment after surgical interventions, infectious diseases, burns, narcotic addiction treatment. 7 cl, 7 dwg
