FIELD: removal of oil pollution. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use when removing oil from water surface. Loosely cross-linked cured rubber is prepared by structuring by corresponding curing system followed by disintegration. According to invention, prior to be disintegrated, cured rubber (50-80 % isolation) blended with latex foam-rubber on rolls (20-50 wt %). Blending is facilitated, if blend being rolled is supplemented by waste crumb from carbon- black-extended rubber production, for example, tyre production waste crushed tyre crumb with following percentage of components (in wt %): loosely cross-linked cured rubber, 35-65; latex foam rubber, 20-50; AND crumb from carbon-black-extended rubber production, 10-15. EFFECT: increased absorption capacity of material and eliminated its agglomeration under storage. 2 cl, 2 tbl
