FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic blade drive includes housing consisting of rigidly interconnected lower and upper parts; lower part is secured to ship's hull; drive is also provided with turnable rotor mounted in housing and rigidly connected with rudder stock. Inner surface of housing and rotor is ball-shaped. Rotor has circular torous cavity bounded by ball-shaped surface of housing where movable blades are mounted. Movable blades are rigidly connected with rotor by means of semicircular keys. Blades are engageable with ball-shaped surface of housing by means of seals. Provision is also made for fixed blades engageable with torous surface of rotor by means of seal and connected with housing by means of self-aligning device which is made in form of cylindrical holders with longitudinal slots where cylindrical retainers having flats are mounted; they are secured on housing.
