FIELD: inorganic chemistry methods. SUBSTANCE: method is performed through adsorbing and isolating heavy metal elements using tannin adsorbent which includes following steps: adjusting PH of solution containing a multitude of heavy metal elements to achieve a predetermined value; bringing solution with adjusted pH value in contact with adsorbent; and adjusting pH of solution being in contact with adsorbent to a value differing from predetermined one. According to invention,, all heavy metal elements can be efficiently separated and adsorbed from solution containing a series of heavy metal elements using tannin adsorbent. Tannin adsorbent regeneration method is also provided involving bringing adsorbent in contact with acid or alkali aqueous solution with pH value differing from that of solution containing heavy metal. Method is meant to be applied for isolating actinides and/or heavy metals, and/or their mixtures. Sorption and regeneration are carried out both in static and dynamic mode. EFFECT: facilitated metal isolation procedure. 7 cl, 2 dwg
