FIELD: pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: parent diacetylrhein containing aloe-emodin components is subjected for dispersing in system liquid-liquid with polar organic solvent showing limited mixing with water, for example, with 2-butanone and an aqueous phase at pH value 6.5-7.5. Diacetylrhein is isolated and recrystallized if necessary. The parent diacetylrhein is obtained from sennoside mixture through anthrone compounds which were oxidized to anthraquinone compounds and obtained product is acetylated. Ferric salt (II) is used as preferable oxidizing agent. The obtained diacetylrhein has residual content of aloe-emodin derivatives at amount 20 ppm that is used as an active component in pharmaceutical composition showing antiarthritis, antiinflammatory, antipyretic and analgetic effects. EFFECT: improved method of purification, increased purity of product. 15 cl
