FIELD: agriculture, in particular, growing of strawberry in protected ground constructions. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has carcass 1, growing chamber 2 mounted on carcass, nutrient solution supply system 3, illumination system 4 and conditioner 5 with biofilter 6. Nutrient solution supply system 3 has biofilter 31, two reservoirs 3.2, 3.3, pan 3.4 and pipeline 3.7. Growing chamber 2 has vertical double-sided multilayer growing field with inner hygroscopic layer embraced at both sides with darkening film, which is covered with light-reflective film. Outer side of growing field is enclosed in strong carrier grid for supporting plant stems. Pan 3.4 , pumps 3.5, 3.6, valves 9.1, 9.2, 10.1, 10.2, biofilters 3.1, 6 , reservoirs 3.2, 3.3 and growing chamber 2 define closed contour for circulation of nutrient solution through different reservoirs. Plants are planted in growing chamber in such manner that their roots are in contact with inner hygroscopic layer, which is periodically moistened with nutrient solution or pure water, and bud is at other side of growing field and rests upon outer carrier grid. Top green mass of plants is radiated by illumination system. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved yield. 2 dwg
