FIELD: soil-free plant growing methods.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for commercial growing of strawberry on multilayer vertically arranged surfaces has two spacer pipes providing stabilization of growing field, which is provided with hooks fixed on edges of said field. Spacer pipes are furnished with extensible bars. Spacer pipes serve as feeding and sucking devices. Tray hung onto lower edge of growing field also serves to suck out excessive nutritive liquid. Growing field covers arranged on the top and end surfaces are adapted for protecting and sealing inner volume of growing field and for creating gas flows in plants growing zones. Also, covers are made so as to accommodate light sources, such as pulsed lamps, thereon. Growing field is fitted with plant supporting and fixing bases and with inner porous layer allowing stem part adjoining root system to be squeezed.

EFFECT: improved operating characteristics, increased productivity of plants owing to reduced possibility of damage and improved growing and development conditions.
