FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: when processing silvinite ores into potassium chloride, in order to reduce flocculant (polyacrylamide) consumption, solution to be clarified is preliminarily supplemented with one of the following reagents: sodium or potassium hydroxide, carbonate and sulfate, or with substances containing calcium oxide in amount 30 to 1000 g per 1 cu.m of solution. The latter substances are added in dry state or as aqueous suspension and other reagents as saturated solutions. EFFECT: reduced process cost. 2 cl, 1 tbl
