FIELD: chemicals production.
SUBSTANCE: technology for the production of potassium and sodium chlorides from potassium-sodium-containing raw materials to be used at sylvinite processing plants in the production of potassium chloride by the chemical method. The method includes evaporating sylvinite solutions until saturation in potassium chloride with separating of sodium chloride that crystallizes during evaporating to obtain table salt. The hot solution saturated with potassium chloride is cooled in a vacuum crystallization unit with separation of potassium chloride. The heated sylvinite mother liquor is evaporated in the parallel flow to the heating steam with separation of the suspension to obtain artificial sylvinite. The remaining reusable solution is combined with the heated sylvinite mother liquor.
EFFECT: comprehensive waste-free processing of sylvinite solutions of various origins with the production of potassium and sodium chlorides in the form of commercial products, as well as artificial sylvinite.
