FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determining residual amounts of herbicide in animal-origin products and may also be used for diagnosing raundan poisoning. Pesticide is extracted by with sodium hydroxide-saturated chloroform, filtered, and evaporated. Samples are applied on Silufol 50 carrier with 50-% aqueous solution of acetone and ice acetic acid. Fractional distillation is then carried out in methanol-acetone-ice acetic acid mixture. To identify raundan, mixture of equal volumes of 2% silver nitrate and 0.4% bromophenol blue solutions is utilized. EFFECT: simplified and accelerated analytical procedure and essentially increased sensitivity and selectivity of analysis. 1 tbl
