FIELD: installation for treatment of household and highly concentrated sewage waters contaminated with organic substances; may be used in treatment of sewage waters of dairy and food industries. SUBSTANCE: biofilter includes working part which consists of sections filled with packing and hollow chamber located under working part, additional tower not filled with packing and located above working part. Hollow chamber has narrowing cross-section. each section of working part has flange joints between which supporting perforated partitions are located. Located under narrowing cross-section of hollow chamber are two branch pipes ensuring operation under conditions of natural and forced ventilation. The offered biofilter is small in size, highly efficient with improved ventilation conditions capable of replacing of low-efficient trickling biofilters. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
