FIELD: recovery of substances from aqueous solutions with use of sorbents and/or flocculants in reagent precipitation; may be used in nonferrous and ferrous metallurgy and in treatment of industrial and household sewage waters. SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction into initial solution of bentonite clay and neutralizer, mixing of pulp and its settling. Bentonite clay is introduced with concentration of not in excess of 5 g/cu.dm, and neutralization is carried out before and after introduction of bentonite clay at 2 ≤ pH ≤ 12. EFFECT: considerable economic efficiency of the process due to reduced consumption of reagents and production of compact precipitate with low moisture content and simultaneous high degree of removal of ions of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. 8 dwg, 3 tbl
