SLUICE FOR CONCENTRATION OF PLACER MINERALS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mineral concentration, in particular, devices for concentration of sands of placer deposits; applicable in exploration tests and in mining industry. SUBSTANCE: the offered sluice has inclined bottom made of two side members arranged at some angle to each other with riffles, loading device and concentrate shutoff device. Riffles are installed at some angle to longitudinal walls of side members. Located between side members is trough for collection of concentrate. Longitudinal partitions are installed from periphery of side members to trough above bottom to form zones of successive concentration in lateral direction. Lower edges of partitions touch riffles to form screening zones. Sluice is also provided with device for loosening and supply of concentrate and features orbital motion of bottom, and loading device in form of distributing bin to form flows of pulp and to direct these flows to side member sections remote from trough. A version of the device for loosening and supply of concentrate is offered in form of a system of sprayers whose outlets are directed at angle to sluice axis towards shutoff device.
