FIELD: radiation measurements. SUBSTANCE: protective container in the form of medallion ( pendent ) with chain to wear it on neck of user has three-layer measuring-indicating device composed of two external layers of photochromic material with reversible photochromism and regions of intensive absorption spaced apart in absorption spectra of light of initial (wave length less than 320 nm) and photoinduced (in vicinity of 550 nm) forms and of internal layer of set of light filters with bandwidth about 550 nm and variable absorption in maximum. Number of light filters and step-type behavior of change of absorption in maximum of their bandwidth are determined by range and discreteness of indication of radiation doses. As dose accumulates on external surface optical density of photoinduced form of photochromic material grows and transmission of individual light filters in set is compensated in turn. Observation of transmission records sections of shadow corresponding to induced values of exposure dose of radiation. For decrease of influence of effects of relaxation of photochromic material invention envisages every day revolving change-over of exposed inducing sections of layers of photochromic materials and corresponding light filters. EFFECT: improved functional accuracy and reliability of dosimeter.
