FIELD: conversion of seismic time data with use of data on seismic depth to data on seismic depth/lithology for updating of method of detection of hydrocarbons with diminished risk. SUBSTANCE: diminishing of risk of drilling of dry holes is accompanied by usage of new working region providing for increase of several times of number of parameters per point of data corresponding to geophysical space and related to data of seismic series. This working region ensures improved separation, determination and control of quality of row of relevant geofactors that in their turn provide for growth of actual information on number of properties of sedimentary rocks. Actual information increased in volume is subjected to quality control for geological possibility and then to further control for probability by way of numerical expression of history of laying, distribution of sediments and of resolving power of data.
