FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: nonmagnetic gaps are provided in central parts of main poles throughout entire height of magnetic core which are nonuniform in sectional area and their mean values rise from pole shoes to stator yoke. Stator is designed mechanically so that power characteristics of commutator machines rise, conditions for commutation of armature coils are improved, and magnet wire saving is ensured. EFFECT: reduced effect of armature reaction on performance characteristics of commutator machines. 5 dwg
