FIELD: converter engineering; regulated DC voltage supply to resistive and inductive loads. SUBSTANCE: series circuit is set up of first isolating thyristor, choke coil, switching capacitor, and second isolating thyristor; it is connected in parallel with DC voltage supply; connected in parallel with choke coil and switching capacitor is trickle-charging thyristor. Series circuit set up of first isolating thyristor, choke coil, and switching capacitor is connected in parallel with the main thyristor. EFFECT: improved reliability of regulator due to eliminating charge current through its main thyristor without using additional trickle-charge current source for switching capacitor and provision for turning off main thyristor when it is thrown on short-circuited load. 2 dwg
