FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: prosthesis has ulnar and hinged and detachable linked brachial limbs. To satisfy natural biomechanical conditions in the joint, prosthesis hinge is selected to be ball-and-socket joint provided with cup manufactured from high strength polyethylene, locking ring and ball having conic recess for making engagement with the corresponding part of the ulnar limb. Angle formed by longitudinal axis of brachial limb and longitudinal axis of the hinge in sagittal plane is equal to 8-15 deg. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in restoring functions of elbow joint. 3 dwg
