FIELD: navigation. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of signals coming from accelerometers and formation of reading coordinate system. Then output parameters of navigational system are calculated by standard model. Corresponding accelerometer input signals are calculated for standard model in which reading coordinate system is turned through fixed angles relative to coordinate system of navigational system. Signals from navigational system accelerometers are reprojected on coordinate system of standard model turned through fixed angles. Angular drift of reading coordinate system of navigational system is determined by means of calculated signals, and angular position of the system is corrected. EFFECT: higher reliability of determination.
