FIELD: carbon compounds. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing new constructional chemical materials and consists in that fullerene containing 99.8% of C60 with admixture of C70 is subjected to shear deformation in "toroid"-type superhigh- pressure apparatus under pressure 9.5-13 GPa and at temperature 300- 500 C. Polymorphous carbon compound is thus obtained with volume- centered cubic structure with lattice parameter a = 8.6-9.0 characterizing, under normal conditions, by following interplane distance values: 6.22 0.15; 4.40 ± 0.10; 3.95 ± 0.10; 3.59 ± 0.10; 3.11 ± 0.07; 2.93 ± 0.07; 2.79 ± 0.07; 2.54 ± 0.06; 2.35 ± 0.05; 2.20 ± 0.05; 2.13 ± 0.05; 1.87 ± 0.04; 1.63 ± 0.04; 1.50 ± 0.04. Calculated density equals 3.30 ± 0.5 g/cu. cm, unit cell volume (676-681) ± 10 , and number of carbon atoms in unit cell 120.5. EFFECT: new material obtained. 5 dwg, 5 tbl
