FIELD: production of structural materials and tooling. SUBSTANCE: starting material Fulleren C60 is subjected to treatment by applying to it shear deformation under pressure 5-13 GPa and at temperature 200-1600 C. Resulting superhard material comprises polymorphous carbon compound characterized under normal conditions in following inter-plane distances, Angstroem(): 7.76+-0.1; 6.60+-0.30; 4.79+-0.05; 4.58+-0.1; 4.13+-0.05; 3.71+-0.10; 3.24+-0.10; 2.90+-0.10; 2.49+-0.10; 2.20+-0.10. Said polymorphous carbon matrix. Proposed superhard material leaves scratches on surface of diamond and boron nitride. EFFECT: promising superhard material. 2 cl, 5 dwg , 1 tbl
