FIELD: manufacture of materials. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that initial glass mixture is preliminarily melted in glass furnace at atmospheric pressure, then loaded into mixing chamber designed for high pressure. Introduced into mixture is foaming agent, and pressure in mixing chamber is raised. Initial components are mechanically mixed and produced fluid glass is passed through heat-exchanger with preset temperature and through nozzle to medium with reduced pressure. Foaming of fluid glass at plant outlet results in forming of bubbles of preset diameter and their uniform distribution in volume of obtained foam glass. EFFECT: higher productivity of plant, cut down cost of foam glass due to possibility of completion of plant with standard units, increased functional flexibility and working area utilization factor and full engagement of working units. 1 dwg
