FIELD: drive is designed for ramming fastening members to wooden or building constructions, assembling links of railway road, mounting dowels. SUBSTANCE: drive mechanism is provided with resting strut 8 rigidly secured to body 1. Slide valve 4 is in the form of piston with lateral central turning that restricts chamber 9. Said chamber is connected with pumping cavity of power piston and discharging branch pipe 3. Slide valve 4 is kinematically joined with power piston 6 by means of rocking three-arm lever 12 jointly secured to strut 8 and having two mutually opposite links whose free ends are connected by means of connecting pins with couplings 15,16. Said couplings are rigidly mounted respectively on rods of slide valve 4 and power piston 6 and they are spring-loaded by means of third link 18. Connecting pins 13,14 are arranged in couplings 15,16 with possibility of free limited motion. Rocking axes of three-arm lever and axis of spring mounting are arranged on straight line parallel to axes of slide valve 4 and power piston 6. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
