METHOD FOR DEVELOPMENT OF OIL-GAS DEPOSITS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: method for development of oil-gas or gas-oil deposit implies drilling of horizontal wells, opening of productive collecting reservoirs and recovery of oil from boundary areas. With aim of increasing current oil outputs and final oil recovery, operation of all wells initially is performed in mode of exhausting reservoir energy and oil recovery at critical gas-free outputs. Control is effected of current gas-free oil output for each well. When output reaches 10-40% of its initial value, half of wells is transferred to fund of injection wells. Injection of water into oil boundary is effected at outputs which do not exceed fluid recoveries from producing wells. They ensure creation of required tense condition of oil boundary and corresponding increase of current gas-free outputs. Number of producing wells which are transferred to mode of injection wells corresponds to condition of maintaining bed pressure at level of initial pressure. Aforesaid method of development increases current oil outputs throughout wells and improves final coefficient of oil recovery at conditions of retaining gas cap energy.
