SUBSTANCE: moire effect caused by inadequate location of scanning lines relative to shadow mask dot pitch during display of video signals is reduced by device that has ratio-two synch-signal division section for vertical and horizontal synchronizing pulses discriminated from input video signal, vertical position control signal output section for output of voltage signal selectively introduced by user varying with scanning moire control signal to vertical position control section, and horizontal position control signal output section for output of voltage signal varying with video moire control signal selectively introduced by user so as to control vertical position of even or odd scanning lines and horizontal position of even or odd picture dots to suppress moires.
