FIELD: radio engineering; serviceability check systems for multichannel radio receivers whose heterodynes function as variable-frequency synthesizers for checking basic parameters of heterodyne (tuning-frequency and alias components in heterodyne signal spectrum). SUBSTANCE: method involves signal transmission to input of receiver under check, adjustment of the latter to reference signal, variation of receiver tuning frequency in either side of reference signal frequency, determination of frequency of alias receiving channels; novelty is that one of receivers under check, namely, first one, is used as analyzing receiver; signal picked off intermediate-frequency output of receiver under check is converted for frequency into operating frequency band of multichannel receiver, converter signal is applied to input of first analyzing receiver under check in converted-signal frequency band in step equal to least integer number exceeding quotient of converting signal band by number of adjustment points is played; signal amplitude readings are taken off at every adjustment frequency considering them as amplitude readings of spectral components of heterodyne; spectral amplitude components are displayed in descending or ascending order, frequency and amplitude of main response signal at output of receiver under check is determined, amplitudes of alias spectral components of receiver output signal are determined, radio of main and alias response signals is found, ratio obtained is compared with threshold value, results of comparison are used to judge heterodyne serviceability by alias component level; frequency of main response signal across output of receiver under check is compared with known value, and results of comparison are used to judge heterodyne serviceability by frequency adjustment accuracy. EFFECT: provision for checking basic parameters of multichannel radio receiver heterodyne. 5 dwg
