FIELD: spinning of polytrimethylenetherephthalate filament yarn suitable for production of carpet covers. SUBSTANCE: method includes polytrimethylenetherephthalate melt spinning in a lot of fibers, cooling, combining then in filament, drawing in two stages and winding of drawn yarn. At the first stage, filament is drawn with the first degree of drawing equalling 1.05-2. Value of drawing degree is set by at least one first drawing roll. Each feeding roll is heated to temperature below 100 C, and each drawing roll is heated up to 80-150 C. At the second stage, drawing is performed with the second drawing degree exceeding that at the first stage by a factor if 2.2. One or every other drawing roll settling the value of degree of the second drawing stage is heated up to temperature of 100-200 C. Carpet cover contains fibers of polytrimethylenetherephthalate yarn bulking of 20-45% and produced by the offered method. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 2 dwg , 17 tbl
