FIELD: devices for gas welding and brazing; may be used instead of acetylene gas welding with use of standard torches and hoses. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer 1 is made of two compartments: hydrogen compartment and oxygen one connected in their lower part. One compartment accommodates cathode electrodes for production of hydrogen, while the other compartment accommodates anode electrodes for production of oxygen. Hydrogen compartment of electrolyzer 1, tank 2 for collection of hydrogen condensate and tank 3 serving as hydroseal of hydrogen are interconnected successively by pipelines. Oxygen compartment of electrolyzer 1, tank 8 for collection of oxygen condensate, tank 9 serving as hydroseal of oxygen are interconnected successively by means of pipelines. Tank 2 for collection of hydrogen and tank 8 for collection of oxygen are provided with pressure pickups 14 and 15. The latter are electrically connected with thyristor voltage regulator 18 connected with 220/380-V AC mains via rectifier 17 and step-down transformer 16. Such a design of electrolyzer makes it possible to regulate composition of gas mixture in performance of welding operations. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 12 dwg
