FIELD: industrial technology; analytical chemistry; medicine; biology. SUBSTANCE: method includes specimen atomization with simultaneous heating of atomic vapors and their transformation into plasma state by exposure to pulse laser radiation. Lateral profile of radiation beam is close to rectangular one with power density on specimen surface equal to 7•107 - 1•108 W/sq. cm and pulse energy of 30-50 mJ. Exposure is performed by double pulses repetition frequency of which is at least 10 Hz, and delay of second pulse relative to first pulse makes up 5-40 mcs. This done, laser plasma radiation is gathered, transported, and spectral selection is performed with measurement of relative intensity of analytical lines.
