METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MACHINE FAULT DIAGNOSIS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: diagnostics of industrial machines, in particular, of printing equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves checking one service characteristic of machine, assessing checking results with analysis and indication of errors. Detected errors are input into program which is stored in memory of control unit. Error message is referred to identifier which is referred to real images which are stored in memory unit. Indication device which is designed as monitor shows real image or image sequence which points to fault source in order to advise personnel in search of fault source and manual for fault recovery. Corresponding device has unit for error message inputs, indication device which are connected through control unit with program which is connected to unit for input of error messages and assigning identifiers to each message. In addition device has computer which memory unit stores real image or image sequence for each error identifier. Indication device is designed as monitor which serves for displaying real images.
