FIELD: electrical engineering; input voltage numbering. SUBSTANCE: as distinct from its prototype, this converter has, in addition, two DC voltage supplies, arithmetic-and-logic unit, and each fine-scale numbering unit is provided, in addition, with difference amplifier and off-scale reading comparator whose outputs change their state depending on whether its output voltage read off fine scale is within or either side beyond desired voltage range whose width corresponds to input voltage coarse scale increment; difference amplifier provides higher overexcitation voltage and, hence, higher accuracy and speed of response for off-scale analog-to-digital converter which, in its turn, provides for about an order of magnitude compensation of static and dynamic error components brought in operation of parallel coarse-scale analog-to-digital converter due to correction of this converter output code error that includes more confident values of off- scale reading comparator outputs, provided by arithmetic-and-logic unit.
