FIELD: production of paint and varnish coatings, for example, production of autoenamels with low drying point. SUBSTANCE: acid promoter is fed into melamine-alkyd enamels, its quantity is 0.5-1.0% of enamel weight. Enamels are applied on support, the process is followed by hardening at 60-80 C for 35 min. Perfluorolargonic acid having formula $$$ is used as promoter. EFFECT: improved moisture resistance, water repellency, mud- and dust retention of coatings; improved method efficiency. 1 tbl
