FIELD: protective coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the manufacture of protective and decorative coatings. The method for obtaining coatings based on alkyd and melamine-formaldehyde enamels includes the introduction of acid accelerator up to 10 wt. % into enamels followed by curing of the coating at 80°C for 40 min. The acid accelerator is obtained by mixing oxidized methyl ester of unsaturated fatty acids with orthophosphoric acid in a mass ratio from 9:1 to 99:1.
EFFECT: reducing the curing temperature of the coating while increasing the stability of the enamel in the presence of an acid accelerator.
