FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding chemical thread into channel of hollow spindle of twister, with chemical thread being preferably hyperelastic polyurethane thread, which had been preliminarily thinned by 1.5-4 times as compared to its initial linear density; winding yarn, dispensed from bobbin mounted on hollow spindle, around stretched polyurethane thread, with yarn being preliminarily imparted additional twisting of value equal to that used in the process. EFFECT: improved quality of thread and wider range of articles produced from such thread.
