FIELD: recovery of copper from secondary raw materials. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with process raw material containing copper is treated with solution carrying monoethanolamine, ammonium hydrocarbonate and basic copper carbonate. Solution has concentration of ions of bivalent copper amounting to 15.0-20.0 g/l. Temperature of solution process is 69-80 C. Dissolution is conducted with feed of air. After dissolution of copper thermal decomposition is performed at temperature 123-145 C. Distillation of monoethanolamine is carried out simultaneously with decomposition. Washing of copper powder is conducted with use of oxygen-free water with addition of hydrazine. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 1 cl
