METHOD OF TREATMENT OF HYGIENIC PRODUCTS FROM ABSORBING PAPER, METHOD OF TREATMENT OF SUPERABSORBING POLYMER, SOLIDIFIED SUPERABSORBING POLYMER AND DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF HYGIENIC PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2112096 C1

FIELD: treatment of hygienic products from absorbing paper, such as disposable swaddling clothes, women hygienic filter cloth, etc, to separate such products into their components which are obtained in form acceptable for regeneration or secondary use. SUBSTANCE: treatment is carried out in, at least, one bath with aqueous solution under the conditions promoting separation of particles and/or soluble components. At the next stage, produced components are separated into, at least, two parts, one of which has soluble substances, and the other, at least, one of components presenting plastic or cellulose fraction of superabsorbing polymer. This method provides for separation of useful products from hygienic articles. The method of treatment of superabsorbing polymer includes the stage of its mixing with aqueous solution of soluble compound having pH within 3-8 and containing, at least, alkali or alkali-earth metal, aluminum, copper, iron or zinc. As a result of this method, solidified superabsorbing polymer is obtained. The device for embodiment of the method of treatment of hygienic products from absorbing paper has cylindrical drum made for keeping of aqueous solution with inlet side for introduction of hygienic products and outlet side with hole for withdrawal of components after treatment. The device has means for overturning and rotation of drum, with its transferring from horizontal to inclined position. In this case, outlet side is lowered with respect to inlet side and made for keeping of hygienic products in this part of drum. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 26 cl, 3 dwg , 1 tbl
