FIELD: molecular physics. SUBSTANCE: measurement technique depends on determination of dielectric constant of analyzed dipolar material as function of temperature; analyzed dipolar material infinitely thinned in undipolar solvent meeting requirement to low molecular-to-molecular interaction is prepared for measurements; operating frequency of analyzing electromagnetic field is chosen in Debye relaxation region; using temperature dependence of imaginary component of dielectric constant of particular solution, temperature maximums of visible electromagnetic-field energy absorption spectrum are determined at chosen frequency corresponding to Debye translational and rotary relaxation regions; temperature bands corresponding to this spectrum of absorption loops at their half-amplitude level are determined and taken for calculating relaxation variables (frequencies of dielectric spectrum of mentioned relaxation regions, dielectric relaxation activation energy, coefficients of translational and rotary diffusion of analyzed material molecules in thinner solvent employed). EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy.
