FIELD: medicine; orthotherapy; restoration of hand's functional activity; prevention and training of hand's contractures. SUBSTANCE: glove is made of elastic knitted fabric which structure is such that glove can be stretched both in longitudinal and transverse directions. Glove tightly fits to all over surface of hand, therapy providing mechanical tension onto hand's fingers due to presence of distended loops knitted of elastomeric threads. As a result, disordered functions are restored and development of contractures is prevented. If linear dimensions of glove's palmar wall are reduced to less than 10% of palm dimensions and fingers lengthwise, glove does not provide mechanical load sufficient to restore hand's functional activity. If linear dimensions of palmar wall are above 25% of palm dimensions and fingers lengthwise, loop structure of glove becomes destroyed as hand is fully straightened in the course of training, thereby making glove poorly effective for restoring functional activity of hand's paralyzed muscles. EFFECT: effective restoration of functional activity of muscles. 3 dwg
