METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GRANULATION OF LOOSE MATERIAL IN FLUIDIZED BED Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: granulation of seeds, making dragees in confectionery industry; application of layers on granules in chemico-pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: loose material to be treated is fed to granulation zone from above and at least one powder-like granule-forming components is fed to fluidized bed from above or from the side. Granule drying process is effected in two communicating volumes located at some distance from each other; drying is effected with two different flows of gaseous heat-transfer agents. One or both flows may be pulsating. Device for realization of this method includes source of gaseous heat-transfer agent and working chamber connected to its outlet; working chamber is provided with injectors for delivery of liquid granule-forming components. Connected to upper part of working chamber is outlet of proportioner of loose material to be treated; outlet of at least one proportioner of powder-like granule-forming components is connected to upper or center part. Lower part of working chamber is provided with inclined grid. Device is also provided with final drying unit which is brought in communication with above-grid space through damper. Flow of gaseous heat transfer agent is divided into two flows: one flow is directed to inlet of working chamber (to under-grid space) and other flow is directed to inlet of drying unit. Device may be provided with one or two pulsators (interrupters) for making each flow pulsating. At least one injector directed towards flow of gaseous heat-transfer agent is provided in above-grid space. Device is also provided with cleaning and drying unit for gaseous heat-transfer agent which is connected to outlet of working chamber. Outlet of cleaning and drying unit may be connected to inlet of gaseous heat-transfer agent source. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 10 cl, 2 dwg
