FIELD: mechanized arc fusion of different profile surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of fusing metal layer onto surface by two passes; at first pass moving follower roller along one surface of wall of helical guide of follower for fusing bead onto surface with doubled stroke relative to fusion stroke; then moving roller through gap between walls of helix onto other surface of next coil, fusing bead at second pass and returning head to its initial position. Equidistant arrangement of beads and their symmetrical fusion are provided by means of two pass fusion due to optimal change of main parameters according to given relations between width of fused bead, stroke of helical follower, thickness of helix wall and diameter of follower roller.
